Lai and Teoh Named All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. - Senior Eddy Lai and junior Bryan Wiyang Teoh have each been named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically. He must also participate in 40 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade point average of 3.2.

Lai recorded a 72.8 scoring average (second on the team) during the 2021 season, posting a season-best, T-17 finish at the Lamkin San Diego Classic, which included a second-round 4-under 68, which tied a season low. He completed his collegiate career with a T-22 showing at the Pac-12 Championship, where he finished at 3-under 285, which included another 4-under 68 in the second round.

Teoh was third with a 73.2 scoring average, tying for eighth at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. He finished that tournament at 3-under 213, which included an opening, 4-under 68 and a final-round, 1-under 71. Teoh also tied for 11th at the Duck Invitational and tied for 17th at the Lamkin San Diego Classic, where he opened with a 2-under 70. His other two under-par rounds came to conclude the Thunderbird Collegiate and the Pac-12 Championship.

Lai and Teoh were each named to the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll, the second time both have earned the honor. Both were also named UCLA All-Scholars.
