Ethan Thompson To Play On Chicago Bulls Summer League Team

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Ethan Thompson was added to the Chicago Bulls Summer League roster and will compete with the team at the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2021.
 
The Bulls will open the 10-day, 75-game event against New Orleans at noon PT on Monday, Aug. 9 at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas. Their other scheduled games are Tuesday, Aug. 10 against San Antonio (5 p.m. PT), Thursday, Aug. 12 versus Minnesota (1 p.m. PT) and Sunday, Aug. 15 against Memphis (7 p.m. PT).
 
All 75 games will air live on television on ESPN networks or NBA TV. Every game will also be available to stream on the ESPN App.
 
The 16th annual MGM Resorts NBA Summer League will feature all 30 NBA teams playing five games apiece. After every team plays four games, the two teams with the best records from the first four games will meet in the Championship Game on Tuesday, Aug. 17.
 
Tres Tinkle is playing on the Los Angeles Lakers Summer League team and Gary Payton II is competing with the Golden State Warriors.
 
Thompson finished his four-year Oregon State this past season and is seventh in scoring (1,716), third in assists (499), eighth in 3-pointers made (168), fifth in free throws made (444), first in games started (127) and second in minutes played (4,301).
 
He led the Beavers to the program's first Pac-12 Tournament championship and a run to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight with wins over Tennessee, Oklahoma State and Loyola Chicago. The 6-foot-5 guard was selected to the All-Pac-12 First Team, the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team and the NCAA Midwest Region All-Tournament Team.
 
Thompson received an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award in 2019 and was awarded the Tom Hansen Conference Medal in 2021 for his work in the classroom and the community.
