EUGENE, Ore. – On the heels of a lifetime-best performance in the semifinals, former UO standout Jessica Hull will run for Olympic hardware Friday in the 1500 meters. Another Oregon medal chance comes in the women's 4x100-meter relay for Team USA members English Gardner and Jenna Prandini.

Hull broke the Oceania area record with her 3:58.81 performance in the semifinal round. She turned in the fourth-fastest time across the two heats. Hull began her Olympic experience with an automatic qualifier of 4:05.28 in the first round. Hull owned a season's best of 4:00.73 until her semifinal effort.

The final will go off at 5:50 a.m. (PT) on Peacock.

Gardner, a member of the 2016 gold-medal winning relay, carried the baton on the third leg in the prelims. Jenna Prandini, a semifinalist in the 100 and 200 meters, is also part of the Team USA relay pool and could be called into duty for the final. The team's lineup will be announced closer to race time.
