No. 14 USC Women's Soccer to Host Cal State Fullerton for Exhibition Match on Thursday

Aug 10, 2021

LOS ANGELES – The No. 14 USC women's soccer team will play an exhibition match this Thursday at McAlister Field against Cal State Fullerton at 1 p.m. The preseason matchup will be open to the public and admission will be free.

Thursday's exhibition will be the first game back at McAlister Field for USC women's soccer since Nov. 24, 2019. After the 2020 season was postponed until spring of 2021, the Trojans played their abbreviated campaign in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

USC and Cal State Fullerton also last played near the end of the 2019 season, with the Trojans beating the Titans 5-1 at home in the opening round of the NCAA playoffs. USC is 7-2-4 all-time against the Titans in regular-season matchups. Cal State Fullerton won the Big West title in 2019 and has made the postseason five of the last seven seasons.

The Trojans open regular-season play at home on Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. against Pepperdine. Thursday's match is USC's only exhibition prior to the start of the 2021 season.
