BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Continuing the tradition of strong academics, Sun Devil Gymnastics has 10 student-athletes earn Scholastic All-America honors from the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA), as announced on Wednesday.
With a team GPA of 3.4989, ASU had 10 on the WCGA list, the fourth time in the last five years with 10 or more earning the honor. For the complete list of teams and honorees, check out the WCGA release here. To earn Scholastic All-America status, student-athletes must earn a 3.5 overall GPA for 2019-20.
The academic honors have been consistent for this program. Eight Gym Devils made the 2020-21 Pac-12 Fall & Winter Academic Honor Roll. Juliette Boyer, Jordyn Jaslow, Kaitlin Harvey, Izzy Redmond and Megan Thompson were on the honor roll and on this year's WCGA list. Freshmen were not eligible for the Pac-12 honor roll.
Five Gym Devils earned their first Scholastic All-America award: Cassi Barbanente, Sarah Clark, Jada Mangahas, Cienna Samiley and Emily White.
