Cal Trio On Senior Bowl Watch List

Kuony Deng, Cameron Goode and Elijah Hicks were named to the Senior Bowl Watch List on Thursday.

MOBILE, Ala. – Cal seniors Kuony Deng, Cameron Goode and Elijah Hicks were selected Thursday to the watch list for the 2022 Reese's Senior Bowl. Deng is on the watch list for the second consecutive year and all three returned to Cal for a second senior campaign when the NCAA granted an additional season of eligibility to all student-athletes on 2020 rosters due to COVID-19.

This season's game will be played at Hancock Whitney Stadium on the campus of the University of South Alabama in Mobile and televised live on NFL Network and held Feb. 5, 2022 (1:30 pm CT/11:30 am PT). Practices are live on ESPN with NFL Network producing a daily recap show airing in primetime.

The Golden Bears have a long association with the prestigious college all-star game with 40 all-time selections since the game's inception in 1950 including most recently Camryn Bynum and Jake Curhan in 2021. Cameron Jordan was inducted into the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame in 2021 while Davis Webb was the MVP of the 2017 contest and Jim Carmichael the first Cal player selected in 1956.

– Started all four games as a 2020 senior and led the team with 31 tackles and his lone two career forced fumbles both in the fourth quarter of a 21-17 win over Oregon in the season finale to earn Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honors, while adding 2.5 tackles for loss (-10 yards) and one quarterback hurry
– Ranked third in the Pac-12 and tied for fourth nationally with his 0.50 forced fumbles per game as a 2020 senior

– Contributed career highs of 44 tackles, 2.0 sacks (-7 yards), five pass breakups and five passes defended while making a career-high 12 starts and playing in a career-high-tying all 13 contests as a 2019 junior
