School-Record 18 Bruins Earn ACWPC All-Academic Honors

A school-record 18 members of the UCLA women's water polo team garnered ACWPC All-Academic Awards for 2021.

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – A school-record 18 members of the UCLA women's water polo team garnered ACWPC All-Academic Awards for 2021, the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced. The Bruins also earned team recognition for completing the campaign with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.

Student-athletes eligible for the ACWPC All-Academic award must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher in the current season. Athlete merit levels include "excellent" (3.2 to 3.4), "superior" 3.41 to 3.7 and "outstanding" 3.71 to 4.0.

Six Bruins led the UCLA individual honorees with an "Outstanding" designation. Nine Bruins collected "Superior" nods, while four others rounded out the group with "Excellent" awards. It marked the third straight season that 12 Bruins were honored by the ACWPC.
