CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State fans will get their first look at the 2021 volleyball team Saturday evening at Gill Coliseum at the annual Orange and Black Scrimmage. This will be the first Orange and Black Scrimmage since 2019 due to COVID-19 last season.
The exhibition is free to the public and begins at 6 p.m. The State of Oregon indoor mask requirement will continue to apply in all indoor event space.
The Orange and Black Scrimmage is the Beavers' only public scrimmage as they prepare to kick off the 2021 season. It also marks the only time fans can see the team inside Gill until October, as OSU hits the road for the first six weeks of the season.
The Beavers open the season next week in Norman, Oklahoma at the Oklahoma Invitational on Aug. 27-28 against Oklahoma and Houston. OSU's remaining preseason tournament slate includes the Penn State Classic (LSU, Penn State and Iowa State), a tournament at Colorado State (UAB, Colorado State and SUIE) and the Boise State Classic (Santa Clara and Boise State).
OSU opens conference play on Sept. 22 with the Rivalry Series at Oregon on the Pac-12 Network. The Beavers stay on the road for the next three games (Arizona, Utah and Colorado) before opening the home slate when Oregon State hosts Stanford, Friday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
