SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah Men's Golf program is ready to hit the course once again, debuting its 2021-22 schedule that features some of the best courses, and best competition in the country.
"We have another strong schedule ahead of us, highlighted by trips to South Bend, Bandon Dunes and Hawaii," head coach Garrett Clegg said. "The boys are back on campus and looking to build on an outstanding 2021 spring from last season. We can't wait to get this thing started."
Utah's fall slate of tournaments begins in Scottsdale, Ariz. when they compete in the Maui Jim Invitational at the Mirabel Golf Course, Sept. 10-12. The Utes then head to Denver, Colo. for the Mark Simpson Collegiate, Sept. 27-28.
The Utes open October in South Bend, Ind. when they compete at the Warren Course for the Notre Dame Collegiate, Oct. 4-5. Utah returns out west Oct. 11-12 for the Oregon State Invitational before heading to Stockton, Calif. for the U of Pacific Invitational Oct. 21-23 to wrap up the fall schedule.
Utah opens the spring in Lihue, Hawaii for the John A. Burns Invitational Feb. 18-20 before a return to the state of Oregon for the Bandon Dunes Invitational, Feb. 28-March 2. The Utes stay in the Beaver State for the Duck Invitational in Eugene March 21-22 before wrapping up regular season play at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational April 15-16.
The Pac-12 Championships are scheduled for April 25-27 at the Aldarra Golf Course in Seattle, Wash.
The Utes are coming off a historic season where they qualified for the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 1992. Tristan Mandur qualified for the NCAA Championships as an individual as well, notching the Utes' highest finish on record after tying for 17th overall.
Utah had six top-10 finishes as a team in 2020-21 during the regular season, including winning the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Invitational where the squad shot the lowest 54-hole score on record at Utah.
