Men’s Basketball Reveals Nonconference Schedule

Aug 25, 2021

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford men's basketball has unveiled its nonconference slate for the 2021-22 campaign, which features five contests at home as well as neutral site events in Honolulu and Las Vegas.

Stanford opens the season at home on Nov. 9 against Tarleton State before facing county rival Santa Clara on the road three days later on Nov. 12. Home games against San Jose State and Valparaiso follow on Nov. 15 and 17, respectively, before Stanford travels to defending national champion Baylor on Nov. 20. The contest with the Bears is the first of a home-and-home, with the return game to Maples Pavilion set in 2022.

The Cardinal hosts North Carolina A&T on Nov. 23 before seeing a 23-day break between nonconference games, as Stanford faces Colorado and Oregon in the early season Pac-12 bouts. The final contest at Maples before conference play begins sees Dartmouth visit campus on Dec. 16.

Stanford travels to Las Vegas for the first of four straight neutral site games on Dec. 19, facing Texas at T-Mobile Arena in the Pac-12 Coast to Coast Challenge. The final tune-up before conference play revs up sees the program travel to Honolulu for the Diamond Head Classic Dec. 22-25, with Stanford facing Wyoming in the first round.

Stanford returns to the court with an exciting mix of returning players and a highly-regarded recruiting class. Jerod Haase begins his sixth season at the helm of the program, which went 14-13 a year ago.
