10 Things to Know About Your Experience at the Greatest Setting

Aug 28, 2021

This Saturday, we welcome back the GREATEST FANS in COLLEGE FOOTBALL!

Much has changed since the last time we were able to gather at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. Please take a moment to read up on all that's new this season, to ensure you have the absolute best experience on game day!

1. COVID-19 Guidelines/Updates
The health and safety of everyone in attendance is paramount! UW Athletics adheres to all COVID-related policies created and implemented by state, local, university and conference officials. In accordance with state and our university policy, face coverings will be required in all indoor spaces. UW Athletics strongly encourages those in attendance at Saturday's football game to wear a mask at all times, indoors and outdoors, regardless of vaccination status. Hand sanitizing stations have also been added throughout the stadium.

UW Athletics will follow King County's directive on timing for the county's outdoor mask mandate for events larger than 500 people, implementing the policy to take effect Tuesday, September 7.

COVID-19 is a fluid situation and UW athletics will continue to follow all policies as set by state, local, university and conference officials. As policies can change, we will communicate any updates as the season progresses.

2. Mobile Ticketing
This season, tickets will be fully digital, accessed through your mobile device, to provide the safest and most convenient experience. If you haven't already, download your tickets BEFORE game day. If you need help, visit GoHuskies.com/MobileTickets.

3. Beer and wine throughout Husky Stadium
Fans can now purchase beer and wine throughout Husky Stadium. Click Here to read more.

4. No Re-Entry
Fans will not be permitted to scan out and scan back into the stadium this season. In an effort to provide the best home-field advantage and safest experience for spectators, student-athletes and staff, Husky Stadium will join all other UW ticketed venues with its no re-entry policy.

5. The Zone & Dawg Walk
The team's arrival – The Dawg Walk – will take place at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, in The Zone. New for 2021: NO TICKET IS REQUIRED to be in The Zone for the Dawg Walk.

Following the Dawg Walk, fans will be asked to clear The Zone to allow for regular operations. The Zone will officially open at 3 p.m., and a game ticket will be required for entry.

6. KJR Radio Pregame Show
The flagship radio home of the Huskies will broadcast their pregame show live from the plaza, in front of Alaska Airlines Arena.

7. Sound the Siren
Before each game, local celebrities and dignitaries will be recognized by Sounding the Siren in a ceremonial moment before the team runout.

8. Cashless Venue
Following several other stadiums and event centers that have seen efficiency with a cashless model, Husky Stadium will be moving to card-only transactions at concessions and the Ticket Office. Doing so will help reduce wait times and get you back to your seats faster.

Additionally, parking will be cashless and fans will need to use the Pay-By-Phone App to purchase parking in select parking lots on central and west campus. The water taxi in Husky Harbor will also be going cashless.

9. More Pyro!
Additional fireworks blasts have been added for the team's pregame runout through the purple smoke!

10. New-Look Turf & Stadium Branding
A brand new playing surface was installed over the summer, and the field walls and interior walls have been wrapped in new graphics.
