Freshmen Jackson Rivera, Gavin Aurilia Lead USC Men's Golf In Marquette Intercollegiate Final Round
Freshmen Jackson Rivera and Gavin Aurilia both fired under-par rounds today to lead the USC men's golf team on the final day of the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills (Wisc.) G.C. on Tuesday (Sept 7).
The Trojans, with a trio of new golfers in the starting lineup this week, finished 16th at 9-over 873 (293-287-293). Texas A&M took first at 32-under.
The freshman duo led USC in Wisconsin. Rivera tied for 18th at 4-under 212 (70-72-70) while Aurilia tied for 34th at 1-under 215 (75-69-71).
Rivera was even going out today and 2-under coming in, including a birdie on 18, his second on the hole this week. Aurilia was 1-under on the front, even on the back with four birdies today.
Junior Tyler Guo tied for 63rd at 6-over 222 (73-72-76) while sophomore Shane Ffrench (75-76-75) and senior transfer Jack Boulger (75-74-77) tied for 75th at 10-over 226.
USC heads to Texas next for the Maridoe Invitational in Carrollton, Texas, Sept. 13-15, in an event to be televised by Golf Channel.
