No. 3 Huskies Continue to Rack Up Accolades

SEATTLE -- After a successful weekend that featured a 2-0 win over Grand Canyon, the Washington men's soccer team once again rose up the national rankings and Lucas Meek received even more accolades for his play. 

In the national polls, UW moved up three spots in the TopDrawerSoccer Poll to No.4 in the nation. The Huskies shifted up two more spots in the United Soccer Coaches Poll to the No. 3 spot in the country, while also receiving three first place votes. Washington is now a consensus top-five team in the country and the top-ranked team in the Pac-12. 

Lucas Meek has been one of the top-performing players in the country and received more accolades after his brace against Grand Canyon.

College Soccer News named Meek the National Player of the Week and he was also named to the National Team of the Week by both College Soccer News and TopDrawerSoccer. His nine points lead the Pac-12 and are tops among all power-five players. His 3 goals are also tied for the conference lead and his three assists are second.

In the net, Sam Fowler's one goal allowed on the season is tied for the fewest in the Pac-12 and his GAA of 0.32 ranks second.
