Chidekh Ranked No. 72 To Start Fall Season

SEATTLE -- Clement Chidekh, the 2021 ITA Northwest Region Rookie of the Year, will begin his second collegiate season ranked No. 72 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. That ranking marks a career-high by one spot for Chidekh, who also earned All-Pac-12 First Team honors last season leading the Huskies.
The native of Lyon, France, Chidekh went 14-6 a year ago all in dual matches, all but one match playing at the No. 1 position. He ended the year ranked No. 106 after rising as high as No. 73 during the season.
Chidekh will start the collegiate campaign in the qualifying draw of the ITA All-America Championships, which begin October 4 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He will also be in the qualifying rounds for doubles, pairing with Jack Davis.
