Ellie Slama To Compete At Cambia Portland Classic

CORVALLIS, Ore. Ellie Slama received a sponsor exemption and will compete at the 2021 Cambia Portland Classic.
 
The Cambia Portland Classic features the world's top women professional golfers at The Oregon Golf Club in West Linn from Thursday, Sept. 16 through Sunday, Sept. 19. Now in its 50th year, it is the longest-running non-major tournament on the LPGA Tour and has raised more than $18 million for local organizations since its inception.
 
The 72-hole tournament features a $1.4 million purse and 500 points for the winner toward the Race to CME Globe season standings. Golf Channel will provide live broadcast coverage for all four rounds.
 
Slama played at the Cambia Portland Classic in 2019 finished in a tie for 57th place with a 3-under 68-69-74-74--285 at the par-72, 6,478-yard Columbia Edgewater Country Club. It was her first-ever LPGA event.
 
An All-Pac-12 selection last season, Slama is entering her fifth year with the Beavers. She has a career scoring average of 72.89, the best in Oregon State history.
