Texas Tech beats Arizona 2-1

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Arizona Wildcats (2-3-0) finished against Texas Tech (6-0-1) in a 2-1 loss. After a defense heavy first half that ended nil-nil, the back 45 was all offense by both teams. The Cats matched the Red Raiders offensively and defensively in almost all areas. They equaled in corner kicks (6), went 6-7 in shots on goal, and Keeper Hope Hisey was able to pick up five saves, equaling the Red Raider's keeper. Texas Tech out-shot the Cats 19-10 and was ultimatley able to walk away with the victory.

Play of the match - Freshman Firsts
Another career first came about in Arizona's match against Texas Tech. Freshman Marley Chappel scored her first career goal against the Red Raiders. In the 74th minute Chappel found a perfectly placed ball from redshirt senior defender Sabrina Enciso. The rest is history as Chappel was able to launch the ball past two Red Raiders and the keeper.
