Men's Golf Update: Cameron Sisk Opens 2021-22 With Solid Round in Texas
The Sun Devil men's golf team opened its 2021-22 season at a tough course and held its own behind the steady play of the experienced duo Mason Andersen and Cameron Sisk on Monday at the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational.

Sisk, a two-time All-American, is at 2-under 70 on the 7,351-yard Maridoe Golf Club after firing a tournament-best seven birdies and is tied for second. He is two shots back of Liberty's Connor Polender, who leads the field at 4-under 68. ASU is tied for third at 6-over 294 while Oklahoma leads the field at 2-over 290.
ASU posted 19 birdies, three better than second-best TCU, and Sisk was 3-under on the par-3 holes, the best mark in the tournament (2.25 average).
Andersen, who is taking advantage of the NCAA COVID waiver and competing in his fifth year, is tied for 13th at 1-over 73. He got off to a great start and was 2-under through nine. Junior Ryggs Johnston is tied for 20th at 2-over 74.

WHERE IS PUIG?
Sun Devil 2021 All-American David Puig competed at the Maui Jim Classic over the weekend (Sept. 10-12) at Mirabel Golf Club in Scottsdale. He tied for third with a 15-under 195 (63-66-66).
