"I am very excited about adding Sarah to our staff," commented head coach Laura Berg. "I've had the pleasure of knowing her as a manager and I know she will do a fantastic job as our director of operations. Sarah's attention to detail and work ethic will help her succeed and impact our players while she is here."

Hoechlin's operations position focuses on travel planning, equipment, scheduling and special project coordination. She rejoins the Beaver staff after serving as a student manager for two years, departing the program in December of 2019.

"I am thrilled to be back at OSU and working with such a tremendous coaching staff," said Hoechlin. "During my time with the Knights, I gained valuable experience that will help me as I embark on my professional career at OSU. It feels great to be a part of the legendary Beaver Nation again and I am excited to see what is in store for this team."

Prior to her return to Oregon State, Hoechlin spent time with the Corvallis Knights as the promotions and game day operations coordinator after working as the department's intern in 2019 where she was named staff member of the year.

As the coordinator with the Knights, she created, planned, and executed all aspects of promotional schedules and game day experiences. As a manager for OSU, Hoechlin was responsible for cooperating with other managers to ensure smooth and well-run practices as well as organizing equipment and uniforms.

She worked as a coach at QuickStart Sports from 2016-17 while playing softball and pursuing her undergrad at Clark College in Vancouver, Wash. before transferring to Oregon State. Hoechlin captained the Penguins' softball team both seasons she played and helped lead the team to their first ever Northwest Athletic Conference playoff berth.

Hoechlin graduated in December of 2019 with a bachelor's degree from Oregon State in mathematics and a minor in statistics.
