Three Ducks Earn Pac-12 Weekly Honors

EUGENE, Ore. — CJ Verdell, Alex Forsyth and Bradyn Swinson all received weekly honors from the Pac-12 Conference on Monday for their performances in Oregon's historic win at Ohio State.
 
Verdell was named the Pac-12 offensive player of the week, while Forsyth earned the league's offensive lineman of the week award. Swinson was honored as the conference's defensive lineman of the week.
 
Oregon earned three of the league's six weekly honors following its historic win at the then-No. 3 ranked Buckeyes. The Ducks have won four of the six weekly awards through the first two weeks of the season, with linebacker Justin Flowe earning freshman of the week honors following Oregon's season-opening win over Fresno State.
 
RB CJ VERDELL – Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week
» Erupted for 195 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns on 23 total touches.
» Ran for 161 yards and two TDs on 20 carries while catching three passes for 34 yards and a TD.
» Now tied for seventh on the UO career rushing list with 2,758 yards.
» Moved into a tie for ninth all-time at Oregon with 24 career rushing TDs.
» Surpassed 150 yards on the ground for the fifth time in his career.
» Ran for more than 100 yards in a game for the 11th time in his career, tied for fifth-most in UO history.
» Hauled in third career receiving TD on a 14-yard reception in the second quarter.
» 77-yard TD run in the third quarter was his sixth career rush of 70 yards or more.
» Fifth career game with multiple rushing TDs.
» Third career game with both a rushing and receiving TD.
 
OL ALEX FORSYTH – Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week
» Helped pave the way for Oregon to rush for 269 total yards, including 7.1 yards per carry.
» Oregon's 269 rushing yards are the most by any team vs. Ohio State in Columbus since 2014.
» Did not allow a sack, hurry or pressure while playing all 75 offensive snaps at center.
» Second on the team with a whopping six knockdowns.
» Recorded a terrific 82.3 pass-blocking grade by Pro Football Focus, and a 70.3 total blocking grade.
» Has not allowed a sack, hurry or pressure in 145 snaps to start the season.
 
DE BRADYN SWINSON – Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week
» Recorded a critical sack in the fourth quarter to set up the game-sealing interception.
» Matched his career-high with five total tackles, including a career-best four solo takedowns.
» Notched the second pass breakup of his career, nearly recording his first career interception.
» Tallied five tackles and a sack for the second game in a row.
» Leads Oregon with 2.0 sacks through the first two games of the season.
