Sophomore Brianna Navarrosa and freshman Xin (Cindy) Kou each carded 1-over 73s to pace the USC women's golf team during the second round of the season-opening ANNIKA Invitational at Royal G.C. in Lake Elmo, Minn., on Tuesday (Sept. 14).
The Trojans, a two-time winner of the event, have their work cut for them to compete for a third, sitting seventh after 36 holes at combined for a 8-over 584 (287-297). South Carolina leads the field at 10-under 566.
Freshman Xin (Cindy) Kou remains USC's top golfer after 36 holes, tied for 36th at 3-under 141 (68-73). She had one birdie against two bogeys today.
Senior Katherine Muzi is tied for 14th at par 144 (69-75), her day featuring an even back 9.
Navarrosa is tied for 35th now at 4-over 148 (75-73) with sophomore Christine Wang 49th at 8-over 152 (75-77) and junior Alexa Melton tied for 51st at 10-over 154 (78-76).
The tournament finishes Wednesday, USC teeing off at 8:55 a.m. CT.
