C(h)AMpion!!! Cameron Sisk Wins Maridoe Individual Title

One tournament and one individual title for the Sun Devils already in 2021-22.

Cameron Sisk won the 75-player Maridoe Collegiate Invitational Wednesday afternoon in Texas with a par on the first playoff hole for his third collegiate victory, following 2019 titles at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate (Sept. 13-15) and the Sonoran Showdown (March 18-19). The win also earned him a spot in the 2021 Houston Open (Nov. 11-14).

The Sun Devils finished third with a 2-over 866 (294-282-290), as Oklahoma took home team honors with an 3-under 861 (290-290-281).

Sisk finished a tournament-best 5-under on the par-3 holes (2.58) and also led the field with 17 birdies.

 


Ryggs Johnston tied for 11th with a 1-over 217 (74-71-72).

Mason Andersen tied for 16th with a 2-over 218 (73-72-73).

 

WHERE WAS DAVID PUIG?
Sun Devil 2021 All-American David Puig competed at the Maui Jim Classic over the weekend (Sept. 10-12) at Mirabel Golf Club in Scottsdale. He tied for third with a 15-under 195 (63-66-66).
