Pacific Premier Bank to donate $100 for every Pac-12 regular season touchdown to social justice organizations as part of “Touchdowns for Equality”
Official Bank of the Pac-12 continues community impact following “Threes for Equality”
SAN FRANCISCO – Through the first two full weeks of regular season play, a total of 85 touchdowns have been scored by Pac-12 teams, raising $8,500 for social justice organizations from Pacific Premier Bank, the official bank of the Pac-12, as part of “Touchdowns for Equality.” All season long in 2021, Pacific Premier Bank is donating $100 for every regular season touchdown made by a Pac-12 team, including touchdowns scored in the 2021 Pac-12 Football Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 3 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The total donation at the end of the season will be split evenly between the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and National Urban League, which were selected by the Pac-12 Student-Athlete Leadership Team (SALT).
“We’re thrilled to continue the great work started at our basketball tournaments last March with ‘Threes for Equality’ and are grateful for the further impact and investment being made by our partner, Pacific Premier Bank,” said Pac-12 Commissioner George Kliavkoff.
“Touchdowns for Equality is yet another example of how Pacific Premier Bank supports social justice and racial equality for all,” said Steve Gardner, Chairman and CEO of Pacific Premier. “Therefore, collaborating with organizations like Pac-12 is a natural fit as we help strengthen the communities we serve.”
