UW Set To Host Husky Invitational At Gold Mountain
BREMERTON – The Washington men's golf team will host its lone tournament of the fall, the Husky Invitational, this Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 20-21 at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton.
There is a heavy West Coast influence in the field as 16 teams that will play two rounds on Monday and a final round on Tuesday on the Olympic Course. The Cascade Course will host a separate tournament, the Husky Individual, simultaneously.
Besides Washington, the teams in the field will include Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Seattle U, Boise State, Cal Poly, Idaho, Long Beach State, Missouri, Nevada, San Diego State, San Jose State, Southern Miss, St. Mary's and Toledo.
The Huskies are coming off a sixth-place finish at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate in Scottsdale, Arizona. RJ Manke tied a school record with a three-round total of 195 (-15, 70-62-63).
The Huskies lineup for the team event on the Olympic Course will include Manke, Taehoon Song, Teddy Lin, Noah Woolsey and Petr Hruby. Competing as individuals on the Cascade Course will be Aidan O'Hagan, Robert Galligan, Drew Warford, Patrick Wu and Justin Hopkins.
