The shutout was the first for the Beavers since the 2008 Sun Bowl and the first at Reser Stadium since 2006.

Oregon State struck first, forcing a turnover on downs on Idaho's first possession, then marching down the field with a 69-yard drive that culminated with an 18-yard touchdown catch by Lindsey. The Beavers added on from there, using rushing scores from Baylor and Fenwick to take a 21-0 lead on their way to a 28-point halftime advantage.

The Beavers kept things rolling in the second half, extending the lead to 35 on a touchdown strike from Nolan to Champ Flemings. Baylor brought the score to 42-0 on his second rushing touchdown, as the Beavers completed the victory.
