Sep 20, 2021

Milwuakee, Wis. - Two Wildcats put up great performances in their first tournament of the fall season. Junior Nick Lagaev and sophomore Herman Hoeyeraal grabbed their first wins in both singles and doubles of the 2021-22 season with Lagaev finishing as the runner-up in the consolation bracket.

In the main draw of singles, Hoeyeraal started with a straight set victory over Oklahoma's Jordan Hasson before taking a tough ranked loss to the No. 117 Daniel De Jonge. Lagaev took a loss in the first round of the main draw, but rebounded in the consolation bracket with three wins to make the consolation finals, including a ranked win over No. 97 Vito Tonejic.
