USC Football’s Jaxson Dart, Drake Jackson Win Pac-12 Weekly Honors

USC quarterback Jaxson Dart was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week and Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, while outside linebacker Drake Jackson was Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week for their performances in USC's 45-14 comeback victory at Washington State.

Dart also captured Manning Award Star of the Week and CollegeSportsMadness.com Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors and wide receiver Gary Bryant Jr. made the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll.

After starting quarterback Kedon Slovis was knocked out on the game's opening series at Washington State, Dart came off the bench to throw for 391 yards (the most by a Trojan in his debut) with 4 TDs (including 3 of 30-plus yards) on 30-of-46 passing with 2 interceptions. He also he led USC with 32 rushing yards (the first USC quarterback to do so since Matt Barkley in 2010 versus Stanford).

Jackson had 4 tackles at Washington State, including a sack where he forced a fumble in the end zone that USC recovered for a TD.

Bryant had 3 catches for 56 yards with a 38-yard TD on fourth-and-9 at the end of the half and also had a 3-yard TD run, 2 kickoff returns for 62 yards and a punt return for no yards.
