Sep 28, 2021

SAN DIEGO – The Aztec men's soccer team (6-0-2, 2-0-0) moved up to No. 13 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, the program's highest ranking since October 4, 2016, when they were also No. 13.

The Aztecs, who are undefeated through its first eight matches for the first time since 2005, lead the nation with seven clean sheets. It is the first time in the program's 53-year history that they have recorded seven shutouts and allowed just one goal in the season's first eight matches.

SDSU has yet to trail in a game (772 minutes) and are one of just 10 undefeated teams remaining in the country.

SDSU plays at No. 2 Washington (7-0-0) Thursday evening at 7 p.m. (Pac-12 Network). The Aztecs and Huskies are the top two teams in the Far West Region. Following Thursday's match at UW, the Aztecs will play at Oregon State Sunday at 2 p.m.
