Women's Tennis Set to Host The Utah Invite

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah women's tennis team plays its only home matches of the fall this weekend when they host the Utah Invitational at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center. Following the Utah Invite, the Utes will have Madeline Lamoreaux competing in the ITA All-American Championship. 
 
Utah will host Weber State, New Mexico, and Utah State in the Utah Invite. The play will start at 9 a.m. on Friday, 8 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday. Matches are open to the public, and admission is free to the George S. Eccles Tennis Center.

ITA All-American Championship begins Monday, Oct. 4. Utah's Madeline Lamoreaux will be the lone Ute in the field. The event will take place in Charleston, South Carolina. Lamoreaux will participate as a part of the Qualifying Singles draw.

The last time the Utes took to the court was last weekend at the Cal Fall Invite. The Utes had two players competing, Linda Huang and Anastasia Goncharova. Huang matched up and defeated Valentina Ivanov, who was ranked in the ITA singles rankings. She went 3-1 on the weekend in singles play. Goncharova also had a successful weekend in singles play, going 3-1. Both players advanced to the semifinals of their draws.
