Men’s Golf heads to South Bend for the Notre Dame Collegiate

THIS WEEK
After a second-place finish at the Mark Simpson Invitational, the Utah Men's Golf team will look to build off that momentum as they head to South Bend, Ind. to compete in the Notre Dame Collegiate. The two-day event will run October 4-5 and take place at the Warren Golf Club.

THE FIELD
Utah will compete in a field of 14 teams including Notre Dame, Washington, Washington State, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan State, Rutgers, Oregon State, Mississippi State, Georgia Southern, Colorado, Boston College and Kent State.

UTAH'S LINE-UP
The Utes' five-man lineup will consist of Tristan MandurBlake Tomlinson, Javier Barcos , Jesper von Reedtz and Martín León.

"After a really good showing last week the boys have some momentum moving forward. This course will be a larger challenge and it is an exceptional tournament. We are looking forward to playing in the mid-west and I'm excited to see what we bring to the table this week."

TOURNAMENT DETAILS
The Notre Dame Collegiate is a two-day tournament consisting of 54 holes with 36 holes being played on Monday and the final 18 being played on Tuesday. The tournament will take place at the Warren Golf Club in South Bend, Ind. The Utes will tee off on Monday at 6:30 a.m. MT with a shotgun start format.

LAST TIME OUT
The Utes competed in the Mark Simpson Collegiate the last weekend of September. The team finished in a tie for second after shooting 36-under (828) which is the third lowest 54-hole team score on record at Utah. Tomlinson led the team, shooting 11-under (205) and tied for fifth. He also tied his personal best 18-hole individual score by shooting 8-under (64) in round two. León finished in a tie for 12th after shooting 9-under (207) in his first-ever tournament competing as a member of the team. Barcos was the team's third-highest finisher after carding 7-under (209) to tie for 24th. Mandur tied for 45th after shooting 2-under (214) and Reedtz shot even par (216) to tie for 54th to round out the team.
