USC Men's Tennis Trio In Action At ITA All-American Championships In Tulsa
USC men's tennis has three Trojans lined up for competition at the ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., this week. All three — Stefan Dostanic, Bradley Frye and Lodewijk Weststrate — are kicking things off with action in singles qualifying starting Monday (Oct. 4), while Dostanic and Frye are also locked into the main draw for doubles. Main draw play starts October 6 and runs through to championship matches on Oct. 10.
Ranked No. 17 in the nation as a doubles duo, Dostanic and Frye bypass qualifying rounds to suit up for the main draw. Dostanic and Frye have previous experience at the event, which was last held in 2019.
Then a sophomore, Frye earned a place in singles main draw with a winning run through qualifying. And alongside teammate Riley Smith, Frye also maneuvered through doubles qualifying and worked into the quarterfinals.
As a freshman, Dostanic went 2-1 in prequalifying singles. Now a junior ranked #68 in the nation, Dostanic is coming off two singles titles already won this season. He's an alternate in the singles main draw, or otherwise will start up Monday in qualifying singles.
Sophomore Weststrate is making his first journey to the ITA All-American after a successful freshman campaign in which he was USC's winningest player in singles with 25 wins last year.
