TUCSON, Ariz. – Fresh off the program's first Final Four and National Championship appearance, the Arizona women's basketball team released its 2021-22 nonconference schedule on Tuesday afternoon.
The Wildcats look forward to a competitive slate of nonconference games, facing off against four teams that earned NCAA Tournament berths including two opponents, Louisville and Texas, who advanced to the Elite Eight.
Arizona hosts ENMU and Arizona Christian for a pair of exhibitions on Oct. 28 and Nov. 5, respectively, before it opens the regular season at home against CSU Northridge on Tuesday, Nov. 9. Then, the Cats take on perennial power Louisville (Nov. 12) at the Sanford Pentagon and are also set to throw down with Texas (Dec. 19) as part of the Coast-to-Coast Challenge, a game that will air live on ESPN2.
In addition to heavyweight bouts with Texas and Louisville, Arizona also takes a trip to the Paradise Jam in the US Virgin Islands (Nov. 25-27) where it squares off against Vanderbilt, DePaul and Rutgers.
Last season saw the Wildcats make an unprecedented run to the National Championship game in which they advanced past the Sweet 16 for just the first time in program history.
