USC Women's Tennis To Compete in Two Tournaments

Oct 5, 2021

LOS ANGELES--USC women's tennis has a big week of competition as the Trojans will tackle two different tournaments.

USC senior, No. 18 Salma Ewing has secured placement in the Main Draw of the ITA All-American Championships held in Charleston, S.C. from Oct.4-10 , while junior No. 56 Eryn Cayetano will be playing in the Qualifying bracket to hopefully earn a spot in the Main Draw.

From Oct. 8-10, USC will host the Women of Troy Invitational. The tournament format will be a hidden dual where a singles and doubles champion will be crowned at the end of the event. The champion criteria will be best overall individual record. If there is a tie, the champion will be the player or doubles team who played the highest positions.

All singles matches will be best two out of three sets, and doubles will be one six-game set with a tiebreaker at 6-6. There will be no-ad scoring.

Each dual match will consist of two doubles and four singles matches. The Trojans will host UCLA, Arizona, Cal State Northridge, UC Santa Barbara, San Diego and Loyola Marymount. Additionally, players from USC and LMU will combine to make up an additional eighth team.

All matches will be live streamed here
