"It is an extremely exciting day for us at the University of Washington. We are so excited to welcome Arianna and her family to our team," said Van Dyke. "Arianna is an inspiration to her family, her friends, her community and especially to our team."

"Her positivity and enthusiasm is something that radiates every room. Arianna's bravery, courage, and strength to break barriers while advocating for awareness for those with down syndrome is a wonderful gift. We look forward to continuing to built the relationship with her and her family."

Off the field, Arianna enjoys listening to music, dancing and getting to know her new teammates.
