Capalbo Opens Play at ITA All-American

TULSA, Okla. – Utah men's tennis player Franco Capalbo began competition in the ITA All-American Singles Main Draw Championship this afternoon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
 
This was the first day Capalbo, the No.98 in preseason rankings saw action in singles since the beginning of the tournament.
 
Capalbo was paired up against Ohio State's Cannon Kingsley. Kingsley entered the ITA All-American as the No. 65th ranked singles player in the ITA preseason rankings. Capalbo put up a fight during this tough match. Unfortunately, he fell short and dropped the match 6-2, 6-2.
 
Capalbo will continue playing in the main consolation draw tomorrow against seventh-seeded Andres Andrade, who is ranked 14th in the ITA preseason singles rankings. Full results for the ITA All-American can be seen by clicking here.
