USC’S Nick Figueroa Named Among 30 Candidates For Senior Class Award

Oct 6, 2021

USC senior defensive lineman Nick Figueroa has been named one of 30 candidates for the 2021 Senior CLASS Award, presented to the nation's top senior who excels on and off the field with notable achievements in the community, classroom, character and competition.

The 30 candidates will be narrowed to 10 finalists later in the season by a national committee. A nationwide vote by media, coaches and fans will select the Senior CLASS Award winner, who will be announced during football bowl season in December.

Figueroa, a second-year starter, led the 2020 Trojans in tackles for loss (7) and sacks (3.5) when he was named All-Pac-12 honorable mention. He has 34 tackles in his career.

He also is a semifinalist for the 2021 William V. Campbell Trophy, given to the nation's top scholar-athlete by the National Football Foundation, and is on the Watch List for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, given to the nation's top defensive impact player.

Figueroa earned his bachelor's degree in real estate development from USC in the spring of 2021 and now is working on a master's in finance. He has a 3.76 GPA.
