Dylan Beavers and the Golden Bears will face a pair of in-state opponents in fall exhibitions during the month of October.

BERKELEY – California baseball will play a pair of fall exhibition games against in-state opponents in October as the program continues its preparations for the 2022 spring campaign. The Golden Bears will play at Sacramento State on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. PT before hosting Saint Mary's the following Thursday, Oct. 21, at 5 p.m. PT in Berkeley.

The clash with Sacramento State on Oct. 16 will be played at the Hornets' John Smith Field, while the Oct. 21 contest will be held at Evans Diamond. Fans attending games held in outdoor venues, including Evans Diamond, are strongly encouraged to wear facial coverings in outdoor areas. Facial coverings are required at all times in indoor spaces (i.e., restrooms) for guests ages 2 and up regardless of vaccination status, unless actively eating or drinking. Masks will be available at entrances for fans upon request.

Cal went 29-26 overall and finished seventh in the Pac-12 Conference standings with a 15-15 mark, narrowly missing out on an NCAA Tournament berth after reeling off a pair of late-season series wins against nationally-ranked Stanford and UCLA. Returning All-American outfielder Dylan Beavers and freshman All-American pitchers Josh White and Paulshawn Pasqualotto will bolster the Bears' 2022 roster.
