Huskies Roll Into Final Fall Tourney At Oregon State With Momentum

Oct 9, 2021

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Washington men's golf team wraps up the fall portion of its 2021-22 schedule at the Oregon State Invitational at Trysting Tree Golf Club, Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 11-12. The Huskies are trying to maintain the momentum they gained last week when they won both the team and individual titles at the Fighting Irish Classic.

RJ Manke earned a one-shot victory and the team a three-stroke win over Notre Dame, and now the trick is to end the fall with one last surge.

Manke returns to the top of the Huskies' lineup for the OSU Invitational at the par-71, 7,384-yard course in Corvallis. Manke has finishes of third, a pair of seconds and a win. He is the first Husky to record four-consecutive top-three finishes since CT Pan in 2012.

The rest of the lineup is: Petr Hruby, Noah Woolsey, Taehoon Song and Teddy Lin.

Competing as individuals for the Huskies are Aidan O'Hagan, Drew Warford, Justin Hopkins and Robert Galligan.

The field of 14 teams includes Oregon State, Washington, Utah, Washington State, Dixie State, Grand Canyon, Cal Poly, Boise State, Idaho, California Baptist, Pacific, Seattle U, Sacramento State and Santa Clara. They will play 36 holes on Monday, followed by 18 in the final round on Tuesday.
