LOS ANGELES – UCLA redshirt freshman midfielder Tucker Lepley has been named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week for the week ending October 10, it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Lepley, who made the CSN Team of the Week for the first time in his career, was the lone player selected from the Pac-12. He was also a nominee for Pac-12 Player of the Week and UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week.

The Charlotte, N.C. native keyed the Bruins to a dramatic 1-0 win over San Diego State on Friday night, scoring a 98th minute golden goal. The score was his fourth of the year, putting him in a three-way tie for the team lead alongside Kevin Diaz and Tommy Silva.

The golden goal came off a forced turnover late in the first overtime session of Friday's contest at Wallis Annenberg Stadium. With SDSU throwing in deep in its own defensive territory, a high press by Lepley and a strong challenge from forward Jose Contell led to the Aztecs coughing the ball up to UCLA's Riley Ferch just above the 18-yard box.

Moments later, Ferch played a ball down the left side of the box for Lepley, who first-timed a low shot beneath the SDSU keeper and inside the far post. It was his first career game-winning goal.

UCLA (7-4-0, 3-2-0 Pac-12) returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 14 at 7:00 p.m., hosting local rival Loyola Marymount in a non-conference tilt at Wallis Annenberg Stadium.
