TEMPE -- Two top-25 swim teams reside in Tempe once again.
The Sun Devils men's and women's swimming teams were named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America's (CSCAA) top-25 preseason polls, with the men's squad clocking in at No. 13 and the women at No. 22.
It's the second time since 2019 in which both teams were ranked in the top-25 preseason polls, when the CSCAA listed the men at No. 14 and the women at No. 25.
As it currently stands, both teams are slated to match up with top-25 teams over the course of the 2021-22 campaign.
The women's team will see No. 17 USC (November 6) No. 2 Stanford (Jan. 21) and No. 6 California (Jan. 22). They'll also pay a visit to No. 3 NC State for an invitational in late November.
The men's will also square off against a handful of the country's best, with a regular season opener versus No. 23 USC (November 6), plus stops in The Golden State against No. 10 Stanford (Jan. 21) and No. 2 California (Jan. 22). They'll also head to Greensboro, North Carolina, in November for the NC State Invite to see the No. 4 ranked Wolfpack.
The men will conclude their regular season on the road at Arizona on February 5. The Wildcats, though currently unranked in the CSCAA's preseason poll, received 19 votes and could be a top-25 team come the day of the in-state rivalry.
The regular season officially begins this weekend with the women's team on the road at Washington State on October 16.
