Wildcats Fall Short in Washington

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Arizona Women's Swim and Dive team wrapped up their dual meet with Washington State Friday morning. 

Arizona fell short by a final score of 129.5 to 131.5. It marks the first loss of the season. 

Standout Sophomores, Amalie Mortensen and Julia Heimstead lead the way for the Wildcats with both Women complying 18 points each. Mortensen took home first-place honors in the 200 and 500 free events, while Heimstead took first-place honors in two events of her own, the 100 and 200 fly. 

Aria Bernal had the second-most points for the Cats with 10, with a win in the 100 back.

Arizona will be back in action next week at home, Friday and Saturday, when they take on Wisconsin & Hawaii in a tri-meet.
