Three Trojans Finish In Top 15 For USC Women's Golf At Stanford Intercollegiate
Senior Katherine Muzi finished a career-best tied for 10th while sophomore Brianna Navarrosa matched it for a season best to lead the USC women's golf team to a season-best fifth at the packed Stanford Intercollegiate on Sunday (Oct. 17) at the Stanford G.C.
The Trojans posted a combined par final round to finish fifth at 3-over 855 (282-291-284). Top-ranked and host Stanford won the event at 28-under.
Muzi turned in her best result as a Trojan at 2-under 211 (70-69-72) to tie for 10th with a 1-over finish with four birdies today.
Navarrosa also tied for 10th (70-70-71) with her third straight round of par or better, her second such effort of her career.
Kou tied for 15th at 1-under 212 (68-74-70), her third straight top 15 to start her USC career while she registered her sixth round of par or better in nine outings.
Sophomore Michaela Morard, in her debut event as a Trojan, carded a tournament-best par 70 to close play and tied for 59th at 13-over 226 (79-76-71).
Sophomore Christine Wang rounded out USC's play in 78th at 21-over 234 (74-82-78).
