FIRST SERVE

  • USC is under the direction of second-year head coach Brad Keller who has also served as an assistant coach for the USC men's volleyball team.
  • The Trojans' current three-match winning streak matches the team's longest streak of the season established August 28-September 3.
  • USC ended the 2020-21 spring season on a four-match conference winning streak. A win over Oregon State would match that streak of league wins.
  • Gr. OH Brooke Botkin was named to the Preseason All-Pac-12 Team and ranks seventh in the Pac-12 in kills (3.78 kps) and eighth in points (4.10 pps).
  • Sr. S Raquel Lázaro ranks fifth in the Pac-12 for service aces (0.37 saps).
  • USC played nine of its first 13 matches, including its first four Pac-12 contests away from home this season.
  • The Trojans are 30-3 at home against Oregon State and has won 22 straight home matches over the Beavers.
  • Each of USC's last three matches with Oregon has gone five sets. Prior to this three-match stretch, the last time the teams played a five-setter was 2010.
  • USC has had two letterwinners hail from the state of Oregon, both from the city of Portland: Anna Maria Lopez (1978-81) and Jasmine Gross (2018-19).

LAST TIME OUT: USC fought through two tough road matches in the desert to go 2-0 and extend to a three-match winning streak. After going down 0-2 to the Sun Devils, the Trojans won three straight sets in dramatic fashion to upend ASU and earn their first five-set victory of the season. OH Kalen Owes came off the bench to spark the USC attack in the third set and finished with 12 kills. Similarly, USC dropped its first set to Arizona but won the next three to complete its first 2-0 weekend in the Copper State since 2015. S Mia Tuaniga posted her second of back-to-back double-doubles against the Wildcats and OH Brooke Botkin posted her 34th-career double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs. The three-match winning streak matched the longest streak of the season established between Aug. 28 and Sept. 3.

HOME, SWEET HOME: USC is 174-48 (.784) all-time at Galen Center. The Trojans went 12-1 in home matches in 2011 and completed the 2012 home schedule with a 17-1 mark. In 2007, USC was 19-0 at home on the way to an appearance in the NCAA national semifinal match. The Trojans are 20-4 all-time at Galen Center in NCAA tournament matches. The four losses were to Hawai'i (2008 and 2009) and San Diego (2018) each time in the second round; and to Washington in the 2013 NCAA Regional Final.
