BERKELEY – Yuta Kikuchi and Philip Hjorth will represent the California men's tennis team in the ITA Northwest Super Regional Championships in Seattle, with the University of Washington serving as host. The Golden Bears are trying to qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships that take place in November.
Kikuchi is ranked 124th in the most recent ITA singles poll.
Both Cal seniors will compete in singles and, together, in doubles at the super regional, which will be held indoors at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. Live streams from the Nordstrom Tennis Center are available by clicking here.

Last Time: Overbeck Wins Final In Moraga, Hjorth Advances To Seattle
On the final day of the ITA Northwest Regional Championships in Moraga, California, Cal freshman Carl Emil Overbeck captured the consolation singles final with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Santa Clara's Ryan Ali on Sunday. One day earlier, Philip Hjorth competed in the main draw singles quarterfinals, with the top-seeded Bear falling to the fifth-seeded James Watt of Saint Mary's, 7-6(5), 2-6, 7-5. Reaching the quarterfinals qualified the Cal senior for the ITA Northwest Super Regional Championships.
Also in the regional event at Saint Mary's, Cal sophomore Lucas Magnaudet reached the consolation singles semifinals, falling to Ali, 7-5, 4-6, 10-6, and the doubles pair of Overbeck and freshman Alex Chang reached the quarterfinals.
