UCLA men's tennis head coach Billy Martin announced the addition of Giacomo Revelli Thursday.

LOS ANGELES – Giacomo Revelli has been added to the UCLA men's tennis roster and will make his debut as a Bruin at the upcoming ITA Southwest Regional Championships, head coach Billy Martin announced Thursday.

Revelli, who previously attended Eton College and Claires Court in England, was born and raised in London. He holds a career-high Universal Tennis Rating of 13.19.

"I'm so excited to have Giacomo Revelli be part of our team this year; we're actually very lucky," said Martin. "He's a young man who I met two years ago with his dad here on campus, out of the clear blue

"Giacomo went on to do such great things academically – got into UCLA on his own – and then contacted me late summer, early fall. He wanted to join us as sort of a last-minute addition to our roster, which is really needed due to the departures of Keegan Smith and Govind Nanda. We're just so excited to have a player of that quality and that stature to join our team."

Revelli had a breakout 2020, posting singles runs at a number of International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour Juniors events. He reached the quarterfinal round or better in Overath (J4 - Germany), Maribor (J4 - Slovakia), Eindhoven (J4 - Netherlands), Hamburg (J4 – Germany), Chisinau (J2 – Moldova and Palermo (J4 – Italy), where he logged a runner-up finish.

Revelli has competed in four ITF 15K and 25K events during 2021. He advanced to the Denia (Spain) singles round of 16 in July.

The son of three-time Italian Olympic swimmer Paolo, Revelli is half Irish and half Italian and speaks Italian fluently.
