Pregame:

  • The Colorado Buffaloes hit the road this week to Berkeley, Calif. to take on the California Golden Bears this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1:30 PM MT.

  • The Buffs are 2-4 overall, 1-2 in Pac-12 play coming off a commanding 34-0 victory over the Arizona Wildcats at Folsom Field last week.

  • The Golden Bears are 1-5 overall, 0-3 in Pac-12 play coming off a heartbreaking 24-17 defeat by No.9 Oregon last week.

  • The Golden Bears lead the all-time series 6-4 (4-0 in Berkeley). Cal also leads 3-2 since the two teams have both been in the Pac-12.

  • The Buffs offense will look to continue to limit their turnovers. Last week's game was the third game out of six this season where the Buffs did not commit a turnover. CU has just five on the season. This is just the third time in school history that Colorado has had three turnover-free games in their first six matchups.

  • Colorado scored in all three areas of play offense, defense and special teams. Offensively, quarterback Brendon Lewis completed 12-of-19 passes for a career best 248 yards and two touchdowns. Colorado's defensive score came on a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown linebacker Carson Wells. On special teams, freshman Trevor Woods had a blocked punt which he returned 36-yards for a touchdown, earning him Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week.
