Senior Maddie Goings topped the Beavers with 12 kills, her fifth straight game in double figures, while Kateryna Tkachenko added 10 on a .400 attacking percentage. Freshman Izzi Szulczewski dished out a team-high 31 assists with two errors on the afternoon.

Both Goings and junior Lindsey Schell led the Beavers at the net with three blocks. Szulczewski record a team-high nine digs while senior Grace Massey collected eight and needs just 12 more to surpass all-time Beaver digs record holder Becky Defoe.

Schell's first of five kills of the game snapped the early UCLA five-point run but the nationally-ranked Bruins took the early 8-4 lead in the first set. UCLA grabbed its largest lead late of eight to close out the 25-18 frame. Three different Beavers added three kills including Schell, Goings and Tkachenko in the set.

The Beavers attacked at their best in the second frame at .310 off 12 kills and a set-low three errors. OSU jumped out to an early 2-0 advantage but the remainder of the set went back-and-forth. The nationally-ranked Bruins pulled ahead late, forcing an OSU timeout, and three straight UCLA points ended the second set at 25-23.

The third set was all UCLA, holding the advantage in almost every category. Late in the set, the Bruins led 23-15 until two kills from Goings and a Szulczewski kill helped OSU pull within five, 23-18. However, UCLA earned match point off an OSU error and eventually took the game off a Bruin kill.
