UCLA Concludes Play at Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – The UCLA men's golf team closed out its fall season with a 13th-place finish at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational at 5-over 869 on Sunday afternoon. Senior Bryan Teoh was the Bruins' top finisher at 2-under 214, tied for 26th.
 
Pepperdine was the tournament champion at 42-under 822 with Joe Highsmith leading the team with a 19-under 197 for the individual title.
 
Teoh shot a 2-under 70 in his final round with five birdies on the par-3 3rd, par-4 4th, par-4 12th, par-3 13th and par-5 18th. Freshman Omar Morales went even par on all three of his rounds of the tournament (216) to finish tied for 37th.
 
Graduate Eddy Lai shot a 5-over 77 on day three to fall 31 spots to tied for 52nd. He finished the tournament 3-over 219. Lai had a flawless front nine with three birdies on the par-5 1st, par-3 3rd and par-4 7th, but would bogey seven holes on the back nine.
 
Graduate Devon Bling shot a 3-over 75 in his final 18 holes with four birdies on the par-4 2nd, par-4 8th, par-5 11th and par-3 17th. Bling scored 5-over 221 in the tournament to tie for 59th. Senior Sean Maruyama rounded out the Bruins' fivesome with another 4-over 76 in round three.
 
UCLA resumes play in 2022 when they compete at the Southwestern Invitational at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif. The three-day tournament begins on Jan. 24 and ends Jan. 26.
