Men's Golf Falls to Oklahoma State in East Lake Cup

The Sun Devil Men's golf team fell in the semifinal match against Oklahoma. St. (1-3-1) Tuesday afternoon in the East Lake Cup in Atlanta.
 
Arizona State graduate student Mason Andersen got the lone win for the Sun Devils by defeating Oklahoma State's Hazen Newmen 4&3.
 
Senior Cameron Sisk battled in a back-and-forth match with Cowboy Rayhan Thomas, despite both golfers having a 1-up lead throughout the match, it ended in the only tie between the two schools.
 
Preston Summerhays, Ryggs Johnston and David Puig all fell in their matches, with Summerhays' losing 4&3, Johnson losing his match 1-up and Puig falling 2&1 late Tuesday.
 
Arizona State looks to rebound tomorrow morning against 2021 NCAA Champion Pepperdine in the final day of the East Lake Cup, as this is the Sun Devil's last event for the fall season. The next event will compete in is the Copper Cup on January 16, 2022 in Maricopa, Ariz which will kick off the spring season.
