Cats Cap East Lake Cup With Match Play Win Over Ole Miss

ATLANTA – Arizona Women's Golf closed out its run at the East Lake Cup by picking up a 3-2 match play win over Ole Miss in a rematch of the semifinals of the 2021 NCAA Championships. The Wildcat trio of Ya Chun Chang, Carolina Melgrati and Lilas Pinthier earned Arizona's points in the victory.

"Winning our match against Ole Miss was a great way to cap our time at the East Lake Cup," said head coach Laura Ianello. "We didn't have our entire roster available for this event, but all of the young women who played this week really competed and played some great rounds of golf. This week was a great learning experience for our program and one that will help us improve."

The Wildcats' time at the nationally-televised East Lake Cup saw them finish fourth in stroke play and split their match play competition against Oklahoma State and Ole Miss.

Arizona has one more fall tournament remaining, which is the Pac-12 Preview in Hawai'I that begins on Monday, Nov. 1.
