Defense Highlights #NFLBuffs For Week Seven

BOULDER—Defense ruled the day for #NFLBuffs in Week 7.  Chidobe Awuzie, Josh Tupou and the Cincinnati Bengals had the upset of the week, knocking off Baltimore 41-17 to earn a tie for first place in the AFC North. 
 
Awuzie picked up five tackles and Tupou played in just under half the snaps along the defensive line for the Bengals. 
 
Davion Taylor also got in on the defense action for the Philadelphia Eagles, recording a career-high six tackles while playing in 55 percent of the defensive snaps against he Las Vegas Raiders. 
 
Here is what happened with all other former CU Buffs across the NFL in week seven.
 
Mason Crosby, K, Green Bay Packers
Crosby Was 1-of-2 on field goal attempts with a long of 39 yards and 3-of-3 on PATs in the Packers 24-10 win over the Washington Football Team.
 
Phillip Lindsay, RB, Houston Texans
Lindsay had two carries for eight yards in the Texans 31-5 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
 
Jimmy Smith, CB, Baltimore Ravens
Smith had one tackle in the Ravens 41-17 loss to the Bengals. 
 
Nate Solder, OT, New York Giants
Solder played in all offensive snaps in the Giants 25-3 blowout of the Carolina Panthers.
 
Laviska Shenault Jr. (Jaguars) and Ahkello Witherspoon (Steelers) both had bye weeks. 
 
Ken Crawley (Saints) was designated to return from IR this week and David Bakhtiari (Packers) is back practicing with the team off the PUP list.  Isaiah Oliver (Falcons) and Daniel Munyer (Titans) are on injured reserve. 
 
Kabion Ento (Packers), Arlington Hambright (Bears), Steven Montez (Lions), Will Sherman (Patriots) and Juwann Winfree (Packers) are all on their team's practice squads.
